Zusammenfassung
Während bei einem Patienten mit Kinetose das aufgrund der "bewährten Indikation" verordnete
Mittel erfolglos blieb, heilte das streng homöopathisch verordnete Mittel Zincum metallicum.
In einem Kommentar wird versucht, den von der Homöopathie immer noch nicht rezipierten
Wesensunterschied zwischen empirischer und wissenschaftlicher Arzneimedizin an Hand
des Fallbeispiels herauszuarbeiten und zum Verständnis zu bringen. Dabei mußte auch
auf die Bedeutung der Grundlagenfrage der Homöopathie und die Gefahren ihrer Vernachlässigung
hingewiesen werden.
Summary
A patient with motion sickness was empiri-cally treated by Cocculus indicus, but
that remedy failed. Only the homoeopathic remedy exactly corresponding to the sym-ptoms
cured promptly. This remedy was Zincum metallicum. This case demonstrates the fundamental
difference between the empirical and scien-tific therapeutics. The empirical therapeutics
are based on experiments on the sick and there is only a Statistical probability of
healing without certainty for the given patient. On the other hand, homoeopathy as
scientific therapeutics guarantees certainty of healing in a given case. It is based
on the law of healing and the provings on the healthy man. Also the foundation of
homoeopathy as condition of its scientific character is essentially different from
the foundation of empirical therapeutics. It is deplorable that neither this essential
of homoeopathy, being science, nor its foundation are properly realized by the hahnemannian
homoeopathic world.
